SITKA GEAR MEN'S NODAK WATERFOWL JACKET
The Nodak Jacket is the longest-lasting, most comfortable waterfowl whites you can buy.
Recognizing that mud is the number one cause of zipper failure, we used zipper flaps to prevent mud entry.
The color mimics the UV reflection profile of snow goose feathers so you won’t be seen as a threat when you’re laying out amongst your decoy spread.
Made from a waterproof/breathable GORE-TEX 3-layer laminate, with comfort- and protection-focused features like a fully adjustable hood with no annoying back-of-head toggle to dig in while you’re on your back.
- Non-disposable, durable waterproof/breathable GORE-TEX 3-layer laminate with 75D polyester face
- Fabric color conceals by mimicking the color and UV reflection profile of snow goose feathers
- Zipper flap prevents mud from getting into zipper and causing failure
- Articulated fit with room for layers
- Adjustable hood with rigid visor affords peripheral vision and protects in heavy rain
- Zippered YKK AquaGuard pockets store essentials
- Velcro wrist adjustments seal out rain and muck
Snow goose hunters know the best chance they have for a successful hunt in an open field is to disappear into it. Bulky, uncomfortable and non-breathable suits eventually fall apart or fail before the season’s over, ending up in a landfill before their time. UV light can deteriorate the color white under long periods of exposure to sunlight—turning it more yellow over time and negatively affecting the UV reflectance profile—they subjected the Gore fabric to hours of simulated sunlight in an accelerated weathering chamber. The weathered fabric maintained its UV reflectance after the prolonged exposure. The UV reflectance profile of Nodak whites were optimized to help you disappear into your spread.
Zipper flaps help prevent mud entry and increase zipper life. Tough GORE-TEX 3-layer fabric with 75-denier face will stand up to abuse. If you do damage the zipper or fabric, it’s designed to be repairable.
The Nodak is breathable and roomy enough for stacking layers. The jacket’s adjustable hood has no back-of-head toggle to dig while laying and the bib’s two-way offset zippers offer easy access.
We measured the UV reflectance of real snow goose feathers, decoys and other materials found in the field to ensure the Nodak System is optimized to help you disappear into your spread.
